Bio
Kyle Siskron-Leonard is a dynamic advocate and community leader based in Blair County, Pennsylvania. With a diverse background spanning music education, mental health support, and civic engagement, Kyle brings a wealth of experience and passion to his work.
Having pursued his education at Penn State University in music education, Kyle's journey took a turn towards mental health advocacy. As a Certified Peer Specialist in Pennsylvania, he has dedicated himself to supporting individuals facing mental health challenges, utilizing his personal experiences to empower others on their paths to recovery.
Currently serving as a housing case manager in Blair County, Kyle's commitment to community service extends beyond his professional role. He is deeply involved in local politics, having embarked on a write-in campaign for state representative in 2022 and later vying for a seat on the Altoona Area School Board in 2023. His dedication to grassroots activism led him to serve as the Secretary of the Blair County Democratic Committee and Indivisible Blair County from 2023 to 2024. Kyle was elected as Indivisible Blair County’s President in 2024.
In addition to his roles in Blair County, Kyle is a Mental Health Partnerships Fellow, collaborating with a team of mental health professionals across Pennsylvania to advocate for Mental Health Parity and lobby legislators for comprehensive mental health reform.
Kyle's commitment to community welfare is further evidenced by his involvement in various advisory boards, including the Blair County Social Services Advisory Board and its mental health committee, as well as the Blair County Children, Youth, and Families Advisory Board. He is an active member of both the Blair County Overdose Prevention Taskforce and the Blair County Reentry Coalition, demonstrating his holistic approach to addressing societal challenges.
With a steadfast dedication to empowering individuals and effecting positive change, Kyle Siskron-Leonard continues to be a driving force in building a healthier and more inclusive community in Blair County, Pennsylvania.
