No Kings in Altoona, PA. October 18, 2025 in Heritage Plaza. 3pm-5pm

On October 18th, under a clear sky and warm sun, more than 1,500 of us gathered peacefully in Altoona to take a stand for democracy. Families, neighbors, educators, veterans, students, and faith leaders came together to say with one voice:

NO to authoritarianism.
NO to political violence.
NO KINGS IN AMERICA.

And we said YES to freedom, to justice, and to the power of people coming together to defend our future for generations to come.

As reported by the Altoona Mirror, the turnout in Blair County sent a powerful, peaceful, and unified message. One that may stand as one of the largest local demonstrations in Altoona’s history. We were part of something even bigger. Across the country and around the world, nearly 7 million people joined the No Kings movement in over 2,700 cities, sending a clear, coordinated message that authoritarianism has no place in America.

On behalf of Indivisible Blair County, I want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who made No Kings in Altoona a success. To everyone who showed up, thank you. To our incredible team of volunteers and organizers, we truly couldn’t have done it without you.

Special thanks to Timothy Smith, Brian Littlehale, and Robert Zeigler for lending their voices to the movement, and to our partners in the national No Kings Coalition for helping bring this vision to life.

We are deeply grateful to the City of Altoona, the Altoona Police Department, and the Unitarian Universalists of Blair County for their support in making this peaceful gathering possible.

I invite you to share you No Kings Altoona photos and videos with us for our highlight videos!
